The right size and power air compressor for me?
Working out the right size and power of your compressor comes down to litres of air consumed per minute. Products like, Air or spray guns, Industrial equipment will have an average rate of consumption shown in (LPM …) In the case of dental use a simple rule of thumb is how many air consuming products are you attaching to the compressor. For example 1 treatment centre would require 0.75hp of compressor motor power while 2 treatment centres would need 1.5hp.
It is also recommended that a drying column is used in dental applications to insure the air is crisp and dry as this will extent the life of the handpieces.
